A realistic schedule is
a very important element for a successful project. A
realistic schedule includes a detailed knowledge of the work to
be done. It has tasks sequenced in the correct order. It
accounts for external constraints beyond the control of the
team. Can be accomplished on time, given the availability of
skilled resources and enough equipment.
Don’t operate on the
basis of verbal agreements, casual memos, even if the
sponsor and the customer happen to be your best buddies down the
hall and you both work for the same organization.
